Intercity & long-distance moving

City-to-city relocation in a dedicated vehicle, with a delivery window agreed before it leaves and updates along the way.

Dedicated vehicle or shared load

This is the single biggest choice on an intercity move, and it is worth understanding before you compare quotes — because two quotes that look different are often quoting different things.

A dedicated vehicle carries only your goods. It leaves when you are ready and drives to your destination, so the timeline is predictable and nothing is handled in between. This is our default.

A shared part-load puts your goods on a vehicle with other consignments going the same way. It costs less, and it is a perfectly sensible choice for a small inventory on a flexible date — but delivery depends on the other consignments, so the window is wider and your goods are handled more.

We will quote whichever suits you, and we will say which one we would choose for your inventory.

Included as standard

  • Dedicated vehicle unless you choose a shared load
  • Packing rated for long-distance vibration, not just handling
  • Load strapped in sections and checked before departure
  • Driver's contact shared with you at dispatch
  • Delivery window agreed in writing before the vehicle leaves
  • Progress updates on WhatsApp
Being straight about it

What we will and will not promise

We commit to a delivery window

Agreed before the vehicle leaves and kept updated as it travels. If it slips, you hear it from us before you have to ask.

We will not promise an exact hour

Several hundred kilometres out, nobody can honour that. Any mover who gives you a precise arrival time for a long route is guessing, and the guess is what you will argue about later.

Packing matters more over distance

A carton that survives a cross-town trip can still fail over eight hundred kilometres of road vibration. Long-distance loads are packed with more fill and fewer part-empty cartons.

Ask every mover about transit cover

Goods are not automatically insured in transit, with us or anyone else. Ask what cover is included, what it excludes, and get it in writing with the quote.

What changes the price

  1. Distance

The obvious one, though it is not linear — a return leg with no load back affects the rate.

  2. Vehicle size

Set by your inventory. Under-sizing to win a quote is how a second trip appears later.

  3. Dedicated or shared

A shared part-load costs less and delivers in a wider window.

  4. Access at both ends

Still applies. A long carry in a new city costs the same as one at home.

Questions we get asked

How long will it take to arrive?

It depends on the route and whether the load is dedicated or shared. We give you a window in writing before the vehicle leaves, based on that specific route, rather than a generic figure.

Can I track the vehicle?

You get the driver's number at dispatch and progress updates from your coordinator on WhatsApp. If live GPS tracking is available on the vehicle assigned to you, we will tell you at booking rather than implying every vehicle has it.

Can my car go on the same booking?

Yes. Vehicle transport runs in a covered carrier and can be coordinated with your household goods so both arrive around the same time. See car and bike transport.

What if my new home is not ready when it arrives?

Tell us as early as you can and we will hold the consignment in storage and deliver when you are ready. Arranged in advance it costs noticeably less than arranging it on the day.

Moving to another city?

Tell us both cities and roughly what is coming, and we will quote dedicated and shared options.
