Office & commercial relocation

Planned around your downtime rather than ours. The goal is simple: staff come back to a working office, not a room full of boxes.

An office move is a scheduling job

Moving a house is about care. Moving an office is about sequence. The furniture is the easy part — what decides whether Monday goes well is whether every desk, cable and file ends up where the floor plan says it should.

We start from your new floor plan. Every desk and cabinet is numbered and mapped to its destination position before anything is lifted, so the crew is placing items, not guessing. Records move in sealed, numbered crates rather than open cartons, and IT is handled as its own sequence with its own checklist.

Included as standard

  • Pre-move survey of both floors, with a written sequence plan
  • Desks and cabinets numbered against the new floor plan
  • Workstations dismantled and rebuilt in position
  • Documents in sealed, numbered crates with a chain-of-custody list
  • Monitors, CPUs and peripherals bagged per desk, not pooled
  • Weekend, evening and overnight slots
Planning

What we need from you, and when

Office moves go wrong in the planning, not on the day. These are the decisions that need to be made before the date is fixed.

Three weeks out

  • Confirm the new floor plan and desk numbering
  • Book building access and service lifts at both ends
  • Name one decision-maker for move day

One week out

  • Staff clear personal items and label their own crate
  • IT confirms what is being disconnected, and by whom
  • Confidential files identified and crated separately

Move day

  • Your decision-maker on site at both addresses
  • Crate list checked and signed at both ends
  • Priority desks rebuilt first so key staff can start

What changes the price

  1. Headcount and workstation count

The practical unit of an office move is the desk, not the square foot.

  2. How much IT we handle

Bagging and moving equipment is routine. Disconnecting and recommissioning servers and network hardware is specialist work and is priced separately.

  3. Lift and loading access

A service lift booked for exclusive use transforms the timeline. Sharing a passenger lift with a working building does the opposite.

  4. The window

A full weekend is the cheapest way to do it. Compressing the same work into one night costs more because it needs a larger crew.

Questions we get asked

Can you move us over a weekend so we do not lose a working day?

Yes, and for most offices that is the right choice. Two clear days lets us move, rebuild and have IT reconnected before staff return. Weekend slots book out earliest, so fix the date well in advance.

Do you handle the servers and network equipment?

We move the hardware safely, and we coordinate around your IT team's schedule. We do not present ourselves as network engineers: disconnection, racking and recommissioning should be done by whoever supports your infrastructure, and we plan the move sequence around them.

How do you protect confidential files?

They go into sealed, numbered crates listed on their own manifest, signed out at the old office and signed in at the new one. If you need a specific chain-of-custody procedure, tell us at survey and we will work to it.

Planning an office move?

Send us the headcount and both addresses and we will come back with a sequence plan and a quote.
