Car & bike transportation

Vehicles travel in a covered carrier rather than being driven across — nothing is added to the odometer and the paint is not exposed to a thousand kilometres of road.

Carried, not driven

The cheapest way to move a car between cities is to pay somebody to drive it. It is also the way that adds hundreds of kilometres to the odometer, wears the clutch and tyres, and puts your vehicle in someone else's hands on a highway.

We carry vehicles on a covered carrier instead. The vehicle is loaded, chocked and strapped at the wheels — never over the body — and travels enclosed. Its condition is recorded and photographed before loading and again at delivery, so there is a shared record rather than an argument.

What you need to have ready

  • Registration certificate and a valid insurance copy
  • Fuel at roughly a quarter tank — enough to load and unload, no more
  • Personal belongings removed from the vehicle
  • A spare key available at both ends
  • Any existing damage pointed out before loading
How it is priced

What changes the cost

Route and distance

Carriers run established routes. A vehicle going along one of those costs less than one needing a detour.

Vehicle size

A hatchback, an SUV and a motorcycle each take a different amount of space on the carrier.

Door pickup or depot

Collection from your door costs more than dropping the vehicle at a loading point, and large carriers often cannot enter residential lanes at all.

Questions we get asked

Can my car be transported with my household goods?

It travels on a vehicle carrier, not in the goods truck, but both can run on the same booking and be coordinated to arrive around the same time. One coordinator handles both.

Is the vehicle insured during transport?

Your own motor policy and any transit cover offered are separate things. Ask us what cover applies to the carrier and confirm with your insurer what your policy covers while the vehicle is being transported — do not assume either one covers everything.

Can you collect from my building?

Where the lane allows a carrier, yes. Many residential streets do not, in which case we agree a nearby loading point. We check this at booking rather than discovering it on the day.

How are two-wheelers handled?

Motorcycles and scooters are crated or secured upright on stands and strapped at the frame. Mirrors are usually folded or removed to avoid contact in transit.
